Women’s Group Daylong Wilderness Embodiment Immersion: South Shield

  • China Camp State Park 101 Peacock Gap Trail San Rafael, CA, 94901 United States (map)

This 1-day Wilderness Embodiment Immersion with Satya and Alaya will incorporate meditation, embodiment practices, teaching of South Shield, a nourishing meal and community council.

Exploring the South shield together:

This is a time to let your soft animal body, love what it loves! Come curious and invite the wild one to explore the sensuousness of the human body meeting the earth body!

Delighting in the wonders of being incarnate, all senses fully alive , emotions flowing and desires moving us in instinctual ways. For some this may feel scary, as this much curiosity and exploration was not held in a sacred or safe container as the child. We will be exploring in gentle and dynamic ways of finding the playful, raw and tender wildness inside of us. Awaken the one inside of us that sees through the eyes the wonder of the world. We will be holding sacred and safe the vulnerability and discovering of our bodies as expressive forces of nature.

In this retreat, we will:

  • Be held by the natural world as a support for our healing

  • Deepen the skills of reciprocity with nature.

Sacred Ceremony and Community Council

Our journey in the wilderness will give us insights and experience that we will bring back to be witnessed by our community.  Questions and inquiry may be invited as, together, we explore and reflect on each person’s experience.

In this time together in community we create a sacred container to be seen, heard, affirmed and supported in the unique evolutionary journey of our soul. As we listen to each other's heartfelt expression in community council, we find reservoirs of strength and compassion, allowing us to be with discomfort.

We will experience firsthand that nature, our community and our true nature, can hold these vulnerable, unmet places and help us stay present to their healing. Through ongoing revelation, we stretch and grow, finding ever changing expressions of what it means to be a human being in community.

“Thank you for the love and care you put into this retreat. It was amazing! It pushed me to the edge in a good way.” ~Janice
